Setting up a POP account on an iPhone
- If this is the first email account you’re setting up on your iPhone, tap Mail. Otherwise, from the Home screen, tap Settings.
- On the Settings screen, tap Mail.
- On the Mail screen, under Accounts, tap Add Account.
- On the Add Account screen, tap Other.
- Select POP and then enter your account information using your keypad.
- Enter your name as you would like it displayed when sending messages.
- Email Address: The email address assigned to your BlueTie account
- Enter a description of this account. The description displays in your email account list on your iPhone.
- In the Incoming mail server, HOST Name field, type pop.bluetie.com
- Enter your Username for your account (or email address) and Password
- In the Outgoing Mail Server field type smtp.bluetie.com
- Enter your Username for your account (or email address) and Password
- Press Save to continue
- Go to Home > Settings > Mail > Accounts
- Tap on your BlueTie Account
- Scroll down and tap on Advanced
- Verify under Incoming Mail Server, Incoming Uses SSL to OFF, with Incoming Server Port being set to 110 and Outgoing Uses SSL is optional with the Outgoing Server port being 25 or 5125.
Setting up a IMAP account on an iPhone
- If this is the first email account you’re setting up on your iPhone, tap Mail. Otherwise, from the Home screen, tap Settings.
- On the Settings screen, tap Mail.
- On the Mail screen, under Accounts, tap Add Account.
- On the Add Account screen, tap Other.
- Select IMAP and then enter your account information using your keypad.
- Enter your name as you would like it displayed when sending messages.
- Email Address: The email address assigned to your BlueTie account
- Enter a description of this account. The description displays in your email account list on your iPhone.
- In the Incoming mail server, HOST Name field, type imap.bluetie.com
- Enter your Username for your account (or email address) and Password
- In the Outgoing Mail Server field type smtp.bluetie.com
- Enter your Username for your account (or email address) and Password
- Press Save to continue
- Go to Home > Settings > Mail > Accounts
- Tap on your BlueTie Account
- Scroll down and tap on Advanced
- Verify under Incoming Mail Server, Incoming Uses SSL to OFF, with Incoming Server Port being set to 143 and Outgoing Uses SSL is optional with the Outgoing Server port being 25 or 5125.
