Currently, DirectConnect only works with personal Contacts.

DirectConnect is a downloaded application which is used to synchronize Email, Contacts, Calendar, and Tasks between Outlook and the BlueTie web application.
The default DirectConnect Settings are:
DirectConnect Server: https://odc.bluetie.com Port: 80
IMAP Server: imap.bluetie.com Port: 143
SMTP Server: smtp.bluetie.com Port: 25 or 5125 (recommended)
In the latest version of Direct Connect, Outlook must be open in order for scheduled sync events to occur. To adjust your scheduled sync, click on the settings button in Outlook (look for the BlueTie icon), and click the Advanced button under the transfer tab.
To access your Server Settings:
1. Click on the Settings button in the top left-hand corner of Outlook.
2. Click on the Transfer tab and then the Advanced button.
3. Click on the Server Settings tab.
Some service providers block access to port 25 which is the default outgoing server setting in DirectConnect. We offer an alternative port to help users with this restriction. To change your outgoing server port go to the Direct Connect settings menu:
settings>transfer>advanced>server settings
Change your SMTP/outgoing port number from 25 to 5125.
During installation, you were prompted to select a profile or create a new profile. If you do not see your data, as expected, it is likely that you selected to create a new profile. Here are a few possible solutions:
1. You can combine your old profile data with your new profile data. You'll need to perform an import.
2. If you want to see your old data, but not import it, you can access this via If you go to your computer's Start Menu. Follow: Start menu>Control panel>Mail. From the popup window, select 'Show Profiles'. Next, select from the options to 'Prompt for a profile to be used'. This will allow you to select the profile that is opened when you first open Outlook and you can view your older Outlook data as well.
3. Another option you may choose to use would be to completely uninstall DirectConnect and then reinstall. When going through the setup wizard, instead of choosing to use a new profile you should choose the option to 'use existing profile'. Once this setup is complete the wizard will ask you if you would like to import your previous current Outlook information into the account. Choose 'Yes' and then select which data you would like to import. This will then give you one profile to work with within Outlook with all of the combined data.
The latest version of Direct Connect does not include an icon in the system tray. It is now conveniently located directly in the Outlook client.
For DirectConnect to work properly, this field must remain empty. The application is referring to the DirectConnect setting in order to connect to the BlueTie service.
